Multiply Your Impact
As we step into this vibrant month of July—a season of warmth, growth, and new beginnings
I want to invite you to reflect on the extraordinary gifts God has entrusted to each of us. Whether
you are just starting your career journey or have years of experience in leadership, the question
remains the same:
Are we truly stewarding our God-given gifts for maximum impact?
Let’s begin with a simple truth: God does not give gifts to be hidden or buried. He gives them to be multiplied. We see this principle beautifully illustrated in the parable of the talents. You may know the story…A master entrusts his servants with resources, and those who invest and multiply what they’ve been given are commended. The one who buries his talent is rebuked. Why? Because God expects us to take initiative, to work, and to grow what He has placed in our hands.
Stewardship is not just about management, it’s about multiplication.
The Genesis command “be fruitful and multiply” is not limited to biological life. It is a call to expand our influence, to increase our impact, and to bring life to every area God has entrusted to us. The Hebrew word for “multiply” means to become many, to increase abundantly. That is God’s heart for our careers, our leadership, and our lives.
But here’s a question we must ask ourselves: Do we really understand the heart of God when it comes to our gifts and callings? God is not a harsh taskmaster. He is a loving Father who delights in our growth and success. His gifts are never taken back. Romans 11:29 tells us that “the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.” What God gives, He does not withdraw. We are simply called to use what we’ve been given—faithfully, boldly, and for His glory.
Now, let’s talk about discernment. Each of us has unique gifts, some are natural talents, others are spiritual endowments. But the real power comes when our gifting and our anointing align. Gifting is what we can do; anointing is the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for a specific purpose or season. When these two align, we experience flow, effectiveness, and joy in our work. Doors open, opportunities arise, and we make an impact that is far greater than our own efforts.
Why does this matter for your career? Because when you operate in alignment with your gifts and anointing, you are more productive, fulfilled, and impactful. You avoid burnout because you are working from a place of strength and divine enablement. Your career becomes a platform for God’s glory, and you experience the satisfaction of knowing you are fulfilling your calling.
So, how do we get there? Here are a few practical steps:
Identify Your Gifts:
Take time to reflect on your abilities, passions, and the areas where you feel most alive. Ask trusted friends or mentors for their insights.Invest in Your Growth:
Seek out opportunities for learning, training, and development. Consider coaching or mentoring to sharpen your skills.Look for Alignment:
Pay attention to moments when your work feels effortless and impactful. These are clues that your gifting and anointing are aligning.Take Bold Steps:
Don’t be afraid to step out in faith. Trust that God will guide and empower you as you use your gifts.Multiply Your Impact:
Look for ways to bless others with your gifts. Mentor, teach, or serve in ways that help others grow.
As we ponder these truths, let’s remember: God’s heart is for our growth, multiplication, and lasting impact. He has entrusted each of us with unique gifts for a reason not just for our own benefit, but for the benefit of others and for His glory.
So, my challenge to you this July is this:
Don’t settle for simply managing what you have. Dare to multiply it.
Seek alignment between your gifts and God’s anointing.
And as you do,
you will unlock the fullness of your potential
and experience the joy of fulfilling your God-ordained purpose.
Thank you, and may God bless your journey as you multiply your impact this summer and beyond.
